Q: What if it rains on race day? A: Normally we would say chances are slim! 🌵 But yes, this event will happen rain or shine. Bring your sunscreen or your rain jacket — we’re ready for anything. Q: Can a friend pick up my packet for me? A: Absolutely! Just make sure they have your QR code and they’ll be your packet pickup hero!
Q: Can I exchange my shirt for a different size?
A: If you purchased a shirt, you will get the shirt size and style you selected when you registered. We’ll offer shirt exchanges on Sunday morning on a first-come, first-serve basis, so check your fit before you leave. Once the event is over, no exchanges — and yes, shirts are event pickup only. We don’t mail them, so plan to be here to snag yours! 👕
Q: Can I switch to a different distance (like drop from the Half to the 10K or the 10K to the 5K)?
A: We totally get it — sometimes the legs have other plans! 😅
But all distances are completely sold out, so we can’t make any switches. Each event has its own medal count and course limits, and swapping runners between distances would overcrowd the course (and risk running short on medals 😬). So please run the distance you registered for — if you wear a Half bib and run the 10K (or a 10K bib in the 5K), you’ll be disqualified and won’t receive a medal. If your distance feels a little out of reach, no worries! You can transfer your entry to another runner through October 22nd, and since we’re sold out, there are plenty of runners eager to snag a spot. 🙌
Q: I am entered in the event but can no longer attend, what are my options?
A: Sorry, no refunds or deferrals — that’s part of the race agreement when you signed up. BUT, you can transfer your bib to another runner until Wednesday, October 22nd. After that, transfers are closed — no exceptions. Shirts and race swag are earned in person, so if you can’t make it, you’ll have to live vicariously through the Facebook and Insta pics this year. If you want to transfer your bib to someone else, please complete the TRANSFER REQUEST LINK.
Q: Where should I park?
A: That's one of the best things about Chandler, AZ... FREE PARKING! Arrive early, grab your spot, soak up the pre-race energy, and maybe snap a selfie with the desert sunrise! Use this map link to find parking for race day and for packet pickup.
Q: Can I pick up my race bib earlier than 10:00 AM on Saturday or after 6:15 AM on Sunday? A: No. We’re unable to accommodate early or late packet pickups. All race bibs must be picked up by 6:15 AM on Sunday so we can start the event promptly at 6:30 AM. Please plan accordingly to ensure a smooth race morning for you and your fellow runners.
Q: Can I pick up my packet on Sunday before the event? A: Yes! If you’d prefer to pick up your packet on Sunday morning (between 5:30 AM – 6:15 AM), you must use the Sunday Reservation Link to secure your spot. Any participant who shows up on race day without a confirmed Sunday Reservation will not be in the system and will not receive a race bib.
Q: Can I pick up my bib on Sunday without a reservation? A: Unfortunately, no. Race-day packet pickup is only available to runners who have completed the Sunday Reservation in advance. Please ensure you’ve reserved your spot ahead of time to avoid any race-day issues.
Q: Will there be pacers on the course? A: Yes! Our amazing pace team will be out on the course to help you stay on track and crush your goals! Whether you’re chasing a PR or just want steady company along the miles, our pacers have you covered. Look for their pace signs at the start line — they’ll keep you smiling (and moving) all the way to the finish!
Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?
A: We love dogs as much as you do, but for safety reasons, dogs are not allowed on the course... even the cute ones. Don’t worry, your furry friends can cheer you on from the sidelines!
Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? A: Alright, parents — here’s the deal:
Half Marathon & 10K: Strollers? Nope. Those courses are for runners only. Tiny humans will have to cheer from home or from the sidelines. 5K: Strollers are welcome, but you’ll need to start in the back so everyone has room to run
Stroller rules: Must be 31″ wide or smaller. Wagons, scooters, and any oversized contraptions are off-limits.Kids: Anyone not officially registered must stay in the stroller while on the course. Think of it as giving the strollers VIP “back-of-the-pack” status — safe, stylish, and still part of the fun!
Q: Can I wear headphones or run with music? A: Sure! Just keep the volume low enough to hear course announcements and fellow runners. Safety first, but your playlist power is totally welcome.
Q: Where can I see my results?
A: Celebrate that finish line first, then check out your results! On-site: Scrolling monitors near the finish line will display your time. Text: Send your bib number to the number on the back of your bib and get your results instantly.
Online: Preliminary results will also be posted at 131Results.com a few minutes after you cross the line. Important: Make sure to check your results and pick up any age group awards at the event — we cannot mail awards, so don’t leave without your bragging rights! 🏆
Q: Will there be any race photos? A: Absolutely! All race photos are free to download and watermark-free. We can’t guarantee every single moment, but if there’s a shot you really want, ask our photographer — he’ll do his best to make it happen!
Pro Tip: Wear your bib on the front of your shirt so our cameras and results systems can capture you perfectly! 😎
Q: Is there anything else I should know?
A: Stay hydrated, wear your AZ48 shirt for an extra chance of getting on our social media pages, and most importantly... bring your enthusiasm! This is your day to run, walk, or dance across that finish line. |
